1853 map board This shows a small portion of the eastern side of the map board, the Ganges Valley and the major city of Calcutta can be seen. The 1853 board is one of the most unusual of the 18xx series due to the way it is made. It consists of half a dozen large jigsaw like pieces which fit together to make up the board (but then there is an extra small piece only two hexes big that fits on the southern tip of India, it looks like an afterthought).
