. Welcome to the Platform of Blackwater Station

This site is now run by Toby Mao. I'm planning to revamp this site into a wiki in the future.

This website is devoted to the range of board games and Railroad Games collectively known as 18xx.  It will attempt to cover a wide range of amateur produced games and gamekits as well as all the commercially available games.

The aim of the website is to provide information, not flashy graphics, to the game player/owner.  It will include photographs and drawings, but it will try to avoid the use of unnecessary inline graphics in the body of the text.  The object is to get the information to you as quickly and smoothly as possible.

The contents are aimed at the players, enthusiasts and designers of 18xx games, those people familiar with the genre.  If you are new to 18xx then I suggest you start off by reading the beginner's guide and some of the other reviews.  Joining the 18xx Mailing List is also highly recommended.

If you wish to contribute, then articles on strategies, reviews of games, etc. are welcome to help build up the knowledge base presented at this site.

Players in North America may prefer to visit the US mirror of this site.
