Notes

  1. Green Tiles are now available.
Railroad Corporations can purchase Private Companies.
After the next Stock Round, there are two Operating Rounds between each Stock Round.
  2. Remove all "2" Trains from play.
Train Limit drops from 4 to 3.
  3. Brown Tiles are now available.
    Private Companies are closed.
Train Limit drops from 3 to 2.
Red Off-Board areas score the higher revenue values.
After the next Stock Round, there are three Operating Rounds between each Stock Round.
  4. Remove all "3" Trains from play.
Diesel "D" Trains may be purchased as soon as the first "6" Train has been bought.
  5. Remove all "4" Trains from play.
    A "4", "5" or "6" Train may be traded in for a "D" Train. A trade in gives the $300 discount (i.e. $800 instead of $1100).

  6. This Private Company has no special power.
  7. During its OR, the owning Railway Company may place a tile in the hex occupied by this Private Company. This free tile placement is in addition to the Railway Company's normal track lay so for this OR it may play two tiles. The Railway Company need not be able to trace a legal train route to place the tile and does not have to connect to any adjacent track. This action does not close the Private Company.
  8. The owning Railway Company may place a yellow #57 tile in the hex occupied by this Private Company. The Company may also place a station marker in the city on the hex if a space is available. Both actions are in place of the Railway Company's normal tile and/or token placement. The Company need not be able to trace a legal train route to place the tile or station marker. The Private Company is closed at the end of the OR turn that the owning Railway Company performs either action.
  9. The owning Player may exchange it for a 10% share of the NYC provided he does not already hold 60% of the NYC stock and there is NYC stock available in the Initial Offering or the Bank Pool. The exchange may be made during the Player's turn of a Stock Round or between the turns of other players or Railway Companies in either Stock or Operating Rounds. This action closes the Private Company. (This ability is lost if the private company is sold to a Railway Company.)
  10. The initial owning Player immediately receives a 10% share of the PRR stock without further payment. This action does not close the Private Company. The PRR will not be running at this point, so the stock cannot be sold until the President's Certificate has been purchased and the Par Price has been set.
  11. The initial owning Player immediately receives the President's Certificate of the B&O Railway Company without further payment. The B&O Private Company may not be sold to any Railway Company and does not change hands if the owning Player loses the Presidency of the B&O. The Private Company is closed when the B&O Railway Company purchases its first train.
